EVENING CONVERSATIONS

L'ÉCOLE Van Cleef & Arpels in Hong Kong offers a series of Evening Conversations for in-depth explorations of themes related to the world of jewelry. These evenings give jewelry lovers a chance to learn from and share with experts on the subject for the evening.

The 2014 Evening Conversations were a great success. Here's a glimpse at the highlights from last year.

Symbol of emotion, jewelry has always been associated with strong passions for the beloved one. Indeed, jewels were often chosen as delicate gifts for romantic purposes. From personal presents sometimes keeping a relation secret to the official engagement and wedding rings, these jewels have stories to tell us. Let’s go on a journey through time, from Antiquity to the present days, in order to unveil the mystery of the secret language of love.

Speakers:

Gislain Aucremanne is an art historian, with a degree from Ecole du Louvre. He is currently a Professor at L'ÉCOLE Van Cleef & Arpels.

Graeme Thompson is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading jewelry experts. He is currently Director of Jewellery for Bonhams Asia.
